In Control by Jane Monckton-Smith. It’s shocking, but written in a very insightful way I think and the author is very experienced in the field. It could be quite triggering to some so beware, it covers many real cases of how abuse escalates and how it can end in murder. It’s made me recognise many traits / actions my ex had and did. I’m so glad I got out when I did x

Hi HD was interested in the book you mentioned and will probably download it at some point. I have found a couple of the books recommended on this site really informative and helpful. In fact, when I first realised I was in an abusive relationship, someone on this site suggested that reading as much as I could about abuse would educate me into understanding what had happened to me. Glad that your abuser is now your ex.
