So today my house is peaceful with no arguments, conflicts or abuse. Also, it’s lovely since I have started learning a new musical piece. I tend to choose complex musical pieces since it helps boosting self esteem and also calm my mind down when I have to focus on the music and analyse what’s going on. I find it helpful to set myself some goals and then rewarding myself after achieving it. During a hard time, self love and self worth are important, since only when you love yourself you can fight for yourself. Ladies, pls take some time for yourself and don’t feel guilty.

      Hi Karisqq,

I know what you mean by peaceful, when my husband left the house became a peaceful safe place. I have also been working on playing (detail removed by Moderator) and do a lot more reading. Our eldest daughter is calmer, obviously we have our difficult times. A lot of the time people say stay together for the sake of the children, I would say the reverse, split up for the sake of the children.

Yes, they always say stay for the sake of children, but I never agree, as someone who has witnessed a few broken marriages in my family, I always say that although divorce hurts, it’s still better than keeping a ‘complete’ family but creating huge destruction for everyone. It’s good that now you have some peaceful safe place. Well done for taking the effort to create that, pls continue to love yourself and be kind to yourself x Wishing your family all the best.
