      Hi Icandothis,

      For me it was the best and the only option. There are 2 things you need to consider:

      1. Psychological: I think you need to be ready in yourself to take that step, and be sure in you mind you want this person put of your life for good.

      2. Practical: If your ready, change all contact details for all you phone/email accounts and start again, if he does manage to track you down only respond once and clearly say in writing, “this is unwanted contacted please do not contact me again”. This will be the evidence the police require if you need to report harassment.
