  That is just his excuse. My ax used to say to me all the time. But he lost temper to anyone else. It is not you.

  If he is being like this, it’s a mask.
  
  As soon as the honeymoon period is over in any relationship he has, or he is asked to do something for other people, he will go back to bad tempered.
