My abuser has had multiple driving bans for driving under the influence but has specialist insurance for classic and sports cars. It makes my blood boil that they probably pay half of what the rest of us pay whilst they have total disregard for human life and have got behind the wheel multiple times whilst not fit to drive.
My car insurance premium has just doubled and it has triggered the memory of the many years I spent at the beck and call of a monster who couldn’t care less about the consequences of their actions in all areas of life including being in control of a machine that could kill other road users.
Time for a brisk walk and some angry art! -
I hear you! My ex never got caught but would drive under the influence of drink and drugs daily. He’d say his tolerance was higher that’s why he could drink umpteen pints – what tosh. The local was in walking distance but no he’d drive! It’s a miracle he’s not hit someone and I’d always say to him what if it was your child hit. But they have total ego or arrogance that they’re above every law don’t they. x
