Ive seen two sides of my partner while he works from home and how he is with his work colleuges. He is capabable of being so much nicer to them then me but i also hear him and he lies for sympthathy. For example. He was so busy he literally only got 5 mins to stop to eat his lunch and was straight back to being busy but when he took his next call they asked hey hows you? He said yeh alright …hungry. he had just eaten a fairly large lunch. Though it was quick he was trying to make out he hadnt even had time to get in any food at this point. He is such a liar and manipulator. He always manages to drop in how many hours hr has worked but trying to make it sound luke he isnt bragging or complaining. He is so sly. They do say some charmibg managers are often the ones who could be psychopaths.

It’s good you have this time to view/observe him with others during this time. It keeps you from thinking it’s just you he’s like this with, etc. One of the most important things is to be able to really see him in other settings, his treatment of others, his interaction with others. So often you might become accustomed maybe to being isolated and be tempted to assume he is who he is as a reaction to you, something you did or did not do, etc.

This a huge lightbulb time for you. There are good things happening from the lockdown! Don’t challenge him on things, just listen and observe…. Quite revealing, huh? Keep talking, we are here for you!

Hi there and welcome. Oh yes the many faces of an abusive person. Yes lockdown restrictions are very insightful fir some of us. As previously recommended don’t question, because he’ll see that as an attack and become unbearable. Just watch and listen, start a journal of his behaviour, however ‘nothing’ it may seem. Include dates and times of recognisable behaviour. Keep posting and learning.
      Take care
