Hi there, I haven’t posted in a while and hope everyone is well.

I was just curious if anyone has any knowledge on the BBR courses that perpetrators are put on after conviction/maybe not even having been convicted.

Any ideas on the success rate? Or more likely that the abuser is just going along with it to tick boxes? Do these programmes tend to change these people?

Some people can change. It is very hard. I’m not sure what the success rate is. Lundy Bancroft speaks about it on youtube. Sorry, I’m just knackered.

I’ve been on this forum for several years and have never heard anything positive about these programmes. One perp learned new ways to abuse from other perps. We know they are good actors and seem to play the part then revert back to abuser. If you don’t know it’s not right to beat and abuse women by the time you’re an adult, no Programme is going to change that. In my opinion. Concentrate on yourself and don’t be distracted by his behaviour. I don’t want to be involved with someone who has to be taught right from wrong.
