I’ve just run my credit report and seen how many times he was late or made a reduced payments on the mortgage.
Not quite the ‘once or twice’ he told me about.
I know I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s just a further annoyance that he really doesn’t care about anybody else’s long term prospects and that it’s set me back while I try to sort bits out.

I’m sorry to read this; it’s undoubtedly painful and angering to further realise the extent of your ex’s abuse, in this case, financial abuse. This type of abuse and control is serious and debilitating. You are untangling the mess that he has caused, but at least now you have control of your finances and hopefully in time you will feel the benefits of this.
