It seems mental health service does not believe me.
They wrote a letter and what they say is like I make things up. No consideration for marital rape at all. They do not care about the abuse that I suffered. Is this life still worth living when those who are paid to help abuse me further and discard me like a worthless piece of rubbish?
Feeling so low today ….

Dear Ayana,
I’m so sorry hear how you feel, may be you can try other place to get help? Some people who works in those services doesn’t mean they understand what we coping with, they only meet people has been abused but may be have no experience at all and different people has different way of coping it.
May be the only way we have is finding services that able to understand us?Big hugs

I have severe reasons to be careful where I seek help. I am scared to death to go to a private place. I have a very solid reason for this.

In my experience only specialised voluntary services such as women’s aid and rape crisis have any understanding of abuse. I am constantly disappointed in statutory services. It’s not you, it’s the system that’s dysfunctional. I really hope you find the support you deserve x*x

Sending you a hug Ayanna, unless people have experienced abuse themselves or are very well trained they do not seem to be able to understand at all, after all it is hard to beleive that abusers can treat women so badly, its quite inconceivable, so they do not get it, agree with PP,it has to be specialised services who do understand the dynamics of abuse, I once had a phyciatrist say to me that ” you can convince yourself you are crippled ” when I was suffering pretty bad PND, he was so so wrong as eventulay I got hormone treatment and it helped in no time at all, these people do not have a clue xxxxxxx

Oh Ayanna – please know that your life IS worth living. Why allow all the awfulness to claim you entirely? I know how it feels to despair. To want an end to it all but I try to focus on the people I love and what it would do to them.
It’s hard to find the right help or the right people to help but please keep trying. I don’t know if you have any religious beliefs but there are some amazing people in all kinds of faiths that will not judge you and offer you a comforting ear. Please don’t give up x*x -

Hi Ayanna,
Keep on looking until you find the correct support. It’s not you at fault here.
We’re all rooting for you, hoping you get the help you deserve X
