finally contacted police…Bricking it

So today I made a massive step. After years of abuse I have had enough. I contacted the police to log the abuse. An officer is calling me back tonight to talk through everything and my options for leaving. I am terrifed he will find out ( I am at my (detail removed by Moderator) and not at home)

I’m not saying I will leave him tomorrow but this is a huge step for me. I really believe my life will be in danger if I stay with him

i know just how scared you are feeling but you have done the right thing
i had really positive experiences with the police so hope you do too – that you are believed, shown kindness & feel much much safer
its so good to hear that at the moment you are with people who love & care about you, hopefully they will be there supporting you for as long as you need them x
