      Hi sweet4,

I’m glad to see that you’re getting the support that you wanted now from NCDV.

Sorry to hear that the live chat and your local service weren’t able to offer what you were after. All these services offer different things, so they may be helpful to other women even though they weren’t able to provide what you wanted at this time.

Local domestic abuse services are there to offer a range of ongoing support. They do vary between areas but many offer emotional support, advocacy, help to access legal advice, benefits/budgeting advice, dedicated children’s services, help increasing home security and personal safety, and various other specialist support.

The live chat is primarily an information service to help women understand what their options are and where to get further ongoing and specialist support.

NCDV is a specialist emergency injunctions service to help with getting protective court orders in place. It sounds like this was the support you were looking for at this time and I’m glad that you were able to find it.

      Take care and keep posting,
      Lisa

They helped me stay keep away from my almost (detail removed by Moderator) decades of abuse when in the past I’d of gone back. My dv support worker is amazing and my councilors are fab!! But seriously sweet4 this is more personal as between us we discuss what we go through daily and they can all relate with each other. X*x

Ur support worker wil put u on to different resources to contact. U wil get help from the bank and everything. I felt like I could scream at times. Can I just say u r 1 strong lady to put with wat u have for so long!! I’ve been away almost (detail removed by Moderator) mths and it does get easier luv. Stay strong u have got this.xxxx

Well i do now have a support worker, from a Charity but the council is driving me nuts, i have been reassigned to another Caseworker, dont know why, the first one, worked, he spent 45 minutes on the phone and sent me a form to fill out, unsure if i have filled out the form properly, so i emailed the new case worker, no reply, she said she would call me a week ago, no call, then i have contacted Housing team leader, phone calls and emails every single day, without a reply. I really dont know the way forward, any of you ladies can advise, if you have had a similar situation.Thank you…
