I have started counselling and I was complaining that I must sound petty and pathetic. That there were people going through such horrendous things every day.
My counsellor made the point that each of my things I thought were petty were a grain of sand. On its own tiny and insignificant but start putting them together and before long you have a beach and then a desert.

It stuck with me so I decided to share. I found it has really helped and put things into perspective. Xx

I think a lot of us understand that feeling, sometimes what we perceive as the little things do seems petty, but when it’s all wrapped up in the cycle and pattern it becomes a much greater thing. It’s grains of sand but eventually they do weigh you down.

I totally get that feeling. What your counsellor said makes a lot of sense x
