I’ve got a small emergency bag packed that only has a one change of clothes for all of us.
I’m applying for an Occupation Order so was hoping to be back quite soon, but now I’m thinking that might be unrealistic.
Did you take a big suitcase full of clothes or rely on the refuge and handouts when you got there?
Seems like a stupid question doesn’t it?

It’s a great question! I’ve been thinking about the mechanics too, although I have the luxury of my abuser being away often. I mustn’t be complacent about that though.

Depending when you plan to get back into your home, I would think at least enough for a day or 2. You can rinse things out. I used a big shopper style handbag so it wasn’t noticeable I was going. Do not forget your phone charger and plug. It’s your lifeline. I forgot it and couldn’t get to a shop until the next day and it really added to my stress worrying my battery was going to run out xx
