After years of his torment. Police, court, serving me with writs, dragging me through civil court process, I got to keep my home. Many many times I felt like throwing in the towel, giving in to his bullying, threats. The mental torture every time another solicitor letter arrived. He finally signed it over. Its mine to sell now if I want. I dont know how I managed through PTSD, OCD, restraining orders, the last thing legally binding me to that man is gone and it feels great. All his lies about forcing the sale of my home. He did his best but the law was on my side. Ha…. Loser x

Well done KIP, that is brilliant news. Well done for feeling the fear and doing it anyway. You persevered despite the threats, bullying and having to engage in a legal process. Your persistence and courage has paid off. It gives hope to us all who may have to face a similar battle. I think it pays to keep posting and reading the posts on this Forum. This Forum keeps me strong and from lapsing into bad habits of conceding to abusers etc.

So many times he tried to stall, threaten, intimidate and frighten you into backing down.
It’s been a long fight for you.
I impress upon all women to see it through. It’s all bully tactics- because they know you have a case and are terrified you will be able to get justice. Don’t listen to their threats: just go full steam ahead.
( @Confused: I have read your other post. I know it’s easy to feel you won’t ever beat them, and giving up seems an attractive option. See it through!).
Though my financial situation isn’t 100% sorted yet, much of it is. To think, he seriously believes he would leave me with nothing. What planet was he living on?

Thanks for all your lovely messages. It really means a lot. As Serenity says ‘don’t listen to their threats, go full steam ahead’. I can’t believe I took his threats seriously. It was all hot air and when I think of the stress and worry they caused me. Pathalogical liars. Get advice from the professionals and ignore every word the abuser speaks. Imagine a path leading to what you want and do not leave that path till you get to the end x
