I have noticed that my husband is very quick to almost mock or make everything I say sound ridiculous.

(detail removed by Moderator) I mentioned that I didn’t want to go into a shop and he said something he wanted to buy so I said (detail removed by Moderator), and he just kept walking towards the shop ahead of me. I mentioned that he was effectively forcing me to go to the shop anyways and he then goes on making fun of me pretty much saying “(detail removed by Moderator)”

(detail removed by Moderator) I mentioned (detail removed by Moderator) and he said he wasn’t going to until I did something he wanted and I said well I’m not having (detail removed by Moderator) held hostage kinda thing to make me do what you want. (detail removed by Moderator) or don’t. And he goes (detail removed by Moderator) (I don’t??)

Also whenever I start to stand up for myself he keeps just defaulting to going “yes dear….” in a mocking tone even though I’ve told him I actually find it really hurtful.

I just feel like this ways that he speaks just isn’t normal. Like when I raise it to him he mentions that it’s because of xyz that I’ve done and that it’s all my fault. It just feels like everything is my fault at the moment.

He is gaslighting you and his behaviour definitely isn’t normal or healthy. He’s trying to make you question your reality but you should trust your feelings- if something feels wrong then something is wrong. My partner does the same thing and becomes aggressive if I refuse to back down and accept his version of events.

Sorry you’re going through this ❤️
