One of my kids is contacting me for some time after domestic violence and child is adult now. It’s very difficult- there is stuff I don’t know and can see how domestic violence has effected her.

It’s difficult when u have grown kids. Cannot go into it on open forum.

      Hello StrongLife

Its very sad isn’t it, what the violence does to children, and how long it stays with them. It can also be hard for you to talk about, and to hear, so do make sure you both get the support you need to help you both to manage yourselves carefully around this.

This might be something that family counselling could help with for you both to talk in a secure space that is managed for you.

You could also suggest that child find a space such as this for their own use, if now an adult woman she could use here, and if an adult male find a similar one for men?

      warmest wishes

      ts

I’ve had various counsellors but there appears to be time limits on all of them or they suggest strange advice which from my point of view would bankrupt me.

I’m trying for another counsellor. See how the new one goes – there appears to be limits and waitlisted
