I feel like I’m in a bit of a tricky predicament at the moment and could do with some advice. My ex (removed by Moderator) and wants to see the kids but (legal detail removed by Moderator). This is normally arranged with my mother but this time he contacted me directly about seeing the kids when I asked my mum she said she was not aware he was going to be in town and she is unavailable to Supervise at the time he had requested.
i’m a little unsure what to do. I don’t want to deny him seeing his own children and I know the kids want to see him too, originally there were (legal detail removed by Moderator), I could supervise the visit myself, but I don’t particularly want to sit and have coffee with my rapist.
should I just suck it up and go, so then the kids can see their dad?

Hi purplecupcake
Sorry to hear about your situation.
Is it possible to rearrange the date or time to when somebody else is able to supervise?
Otherwise it sounds like it will be a very stressful situation for everyone involved. Also your kids may well also pick up on how uncomfortable it is for you?
You’re not denying him, just finding am alternative arrangement?

Hi purplecupcake.
This sounds very stressful for you, sorry you are in this situation.
Although our situations sound different, I do relate to how feeling as though you are keeping children from their Father pulls on the heartstrings, especially when they are asking to see their Dad. But it is important to be consistent with your boundaries and it sounds as though having to supervise the visit yourself would be crossing a boundary for you. Would it be possible to rearrange when a more appropriate person to supervise is available, and perhaps for your Mum to be the person to contact him to explain/facilitate the rearrangement?
I hope you can get it sorted without too much distress.
