Today I managed to look at those abusive things happened I witnessed in another way. Although it hurts to see all these, all ppl who involved chose to leave, and raised their kids despite hardship as single parents.  When I talk to them, I see peace, courage, resilience and love. It makes me realise that we all can fight for the life we want. But to do that, we need courage, allyship and empowerment. That’s what makes me using this forum. It hurts to see how life can be hard, and it still scares me to see how hard and lonely it can be, but I guess, no matter how worse it is, as long as you’ve the courage to, you can certainly start your new life, and that’s the wonder of life. And now for me, I’m still cultivating that courage and self love, but I’m glad that I got some good models to learn from.

      Hi Karisqq,

Thank you for sharing this- I’m glad that you are finding the forum helpful and empowering. Experiencing domestic abuse can be really scary and lonely and its important that people have a space to feel supported.

      Best Wishes
