Has anyone used a McKenzie friend in court and self represented? My ex is going to make getting a financial outcome as difficult as possible. I have a solicitor but she has already warned me about possible costs etc. I am in a reasonably strong position to show I have paid more etc over a long marriage but can’t afford to risk getting it wrong. Any thoughts?

thats a lovely positive name! I have heard of these, not entirely sure what role they play, it could be worth looking into surely and if its not a good fit, then at least you know a bit more.
Have you heard of Rights of Women? They are a free legal advice line for your situation, but can be really hard to reach so be prepared to keep trying in plenty of time for your hearing. They are specialists in women’s situations such as this.
