Hey , I am new to the forum and it’s first time I really feel the urge to share ,

I was in abusive relationship with someone older than my dad. I was very young as well.

we have a toddler and co parenting at this present time.

I requested my full medical records and there is one visit to GP , I clearly don’t remember, but I get chills , it’s not long after we started dating , or still in the love bombing phase should I say ,

the GP recorded that visit was saying something like that “ Young woman, bruised arm, allegedly partner grabs her hand to prevent her from falling “ taking Co-Codamol and I don’t know what else for the pain no concerns partner present at the meeting.

I been well into my healing journey and this little peace of paper shaking my clarity more , why I don’t remember that. How weird, and how much of a text book too.

thanks for allowing safe space to share this

      Hi KindFlame,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing with us. I hope you find the forum a safe and supportive place to be with others who understand.

If you feel like you are in need of some additional support, you could chat to a Women’s Aid worker in confidence via our Live Chat service (currently open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday). They won’t tell you what to do, but can discuss your situation and signpost you to other support that’s relevant for you. You can access the chat service here.

Do keep posting to let us know how you’re getting on.

      Best wishes,

      Hi Lisa,

I am well ahead in my healing. I had so much support from women’s Aid already, I am extremely grateful for that organisation because they saved me – literally.

However this popped up into my medical records and I felt the need of connecting with other survivors for the first time.

Thanks again , for the safe space , and your response.

      take care!
