During the abusive marriage my brain began to become hyperactive and it got worse and worse.
This Christmas and New Year I managed for the first time in years to sleep ten hours without interruption.
It seems my brain is calming down, at least at times.
I still have flashbacks and nightmares and scream in my sleep.
It seems it takes years for the brain to get better.

At least I have a glimpse of hope that I will get better.

Yes it will get better 100%. We are so fortunate to have women’s aid and this forum (detail removed by Moderator). We can and we will beat this every single one of us. Good always triumphs over evil and the more we talk about this and stand up for ourselves the less it becomes a taboo and the more that women realise what their partners are doing to them means that we are saving women’s lives! We have to keep going mot just for ourselves but our children, our sisters, nieces, cousins, friends we owe it to the future of women xxxx
