So I was with my ex partner for quite a few years and we have a child together, I sold my property to go and live with him, but it was always his name on the tenancy but was named on water charges etc I always paid for everything, he would transfer my half eventually! I suffered domestic abuse for years but like most of us we didn’t seen any of it until it was too late, he was arrested and was not convicted, i am also going through a family court to see if I have home rights, my son and I have since been living in temporary accommodation! While he is getting the use of all of furnishings I have paid thousands of pound for, has anyone went through a similar process for home rights if lived with partner, any help at all is much appreciated

Sound similar to situations face when leaving.
He stopped paying child support so no cash. It becomes escalated at the end, with do much garbage it’s beyond belief. People don’t seperate like this – it comparison the domestic violence issues escalated after leaving. Previous seperations were gentle compare to this.

It died down after a while when I got to temporary houses.

Legal stuff is just circulating garbage of nonsense.

Congratulations on this movement forwards. You cannot know what will happen in future. For me i was in commited marriage then domestic violence situation escalated.

There was no education, no warning just one morning lies upon lies then violence. No one, not me, family nor professionals picked it. There were warning signs now that I look back however not being educated or even understanding domestic violence how would I know?
