It has taken nearly five years since I first spoke to Women’s Aid to feel able to talk about my situation.
We now are now in a better place (emotionally although not financially)
All I am able to put in words today is that you can do this. It seems insurmountable but it can be done.
My daughter and I are now safe and I don’t have to check I have a bag and money for a taxi ready every night.
