Can anyone share their experiences with me if they have been placed in a hotel due to refuges being full please?

The council where I am moving to are placing me and my child into a hotel over the weekend and suspect (but can’t promise) that they’ll be able to place us into a more semi-permanent residence on or after Monday. I’m really worried that we’re going to end up homeless at the end of it if they completely forget about us once we’re in the hotel but I also don’t want to turn it down because we desperately need to get away. If anyone has similar experiences and stories I’ll be grateful, thank you

      HI bunnynoir

Spaces in refuge aren’t always immediately available, but it doesn’t negate your need to be in one, or mean that your place is somehow filled because you are in a hotel temporarily, I imagine its more to get you out of immediate risk until a refuge space can be found.

Do keep posting, and I hope you are ok and will find a space to get to very soon.

      warmest wishes

      ts
