I don’t usually write anything like this hit it came to me in the middle of the night!! I’m not even sure if this is the right place to post it.
When you hear of domestic abuse, what do you see?
Broken, beaten, cowering? Or do you see me?
Abuse isn’t all violence, it messes with your mind,
Plays with your emotions
It takes away your dignity. It takes away your life.

“An empty shell remains”, so so true. That was lovely xxxxhelpxxxx. I’ve written a few poems over the years too, it’s strange how it makes us able to share our experience through poetry,. Anger, sadness, frustration has to find a way out, the arts have always been the best way to do this, books, poetry, painting, movies, there will always be a way to tell our stories.
