      Hi ladies, I just caught the end of what sounded like a very interesting interview on radio 5 nihal show. You can listen to it on the BBC sounds app I think.

      The most stark piece of information I heard was that women who are throttled in domestic abuse incidents are 7 times more likely to be killed. Worth a listen

      That is scary. I would always say my ex wasn’t violent because I never got hit but he did grab me by the throat when he had enough and choke me during intimacy.

      That makes sense. You often hear she was strangled or the hyoid bone was broken. That’s why the police ask in a risk assessment if he’s ever strangled you. Might see if I can find it x

      Its why in New Zealand they have a law specifically about throttling.
