Hello, I’m sorry I have a question about a sensitive topic – sexual assault and rape. My boyfriend has been accused of rape and sexual assault by someone else. He denies doing anything and as far as I can’t tell there isn’t enough evidence to prove anything. I wasn’t there so I don’t know what happened but I believe that he is capable of the things he’s been accused of because there have been times when I believe he has sexually assaulted me. My question is could I support the case against him using my own experiences? Or would it be opened as a separate case? I don’t want to go to the police over something that happened to me because it doesn’t feel significant enough that they would do anything and would be emotionally taxing. But if it could support someone else’s case then I would consider talking about it. I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. Thank you for reading.

No idea, but I do understand your concern there. If I were you, I’d call in to one of the leading charity support lines, such as Rape Crisis England & Wales and ask for advice.

      Keep safe and strong xX.
