Not sure what I’m allowed to say or not.
He pleaded guilty and got (detail removed by Moderator) months suspended sentence amongst other things.
Feel like it’s still not enough but better than I expected.
Now it’s over with I can finally start to heal.
Getting some counselling as of next week. So it’s a long journey but I now believe I can make it.

Hello, I know how you feel. The sentencing is out of your hands. You did everything you could and he got a conviction which is a very hard thing to get these days. You should be proud of yourself x it’s going to be a roller coaster of emotions but take things slowly and be kind to yourself. You’ve been through a lot x

I know, the sentences are utter bs. Patriarchy protects their allies.

That’s why we need feminism: to break the chains that patriarchy tied around us women, to fulfill our potentials, to live free from violence and abuse.
