Today I am Tired, tired of crying, tired of not fighting back, tired of letting him get to me and fighting back
Tired of the treats of being deported without my children
tired of him saying I am leaving the country and then calling them to deport all of you, 5 min later, I will deport you and keep the kids,
another 10 min later, leave this house, and this is how it goes, immigrated under his family status, go 5 years leave to remain, but he want to send me back or what ever else is his next treat.

my children just settled in school, after I I prayed and talked them thru a tough almost (detail removed by Moderator) years after arriving, now he is starting again with his deport all or you talks.

he is chasing me away out of the house every day this last 2 weeks, took my car and phone as he said all belong to him and I must pay it to keep it or start behaving.

i am so over this, I don’t know where to turn just to find a place for me and my children to live in piece, (detail removed by Moderator) my 2 children are suffering so bad, I dont know what to do or how to help them
I can not afford what he is asking, looking after kids and have 2 jobs but not nearly enough to afford everything,
he throws thing in house, yells screams and just tells me how dump or stupid or what ever I am

now his older son (detail removed by Moderator), now he is even worse, they literally sit and laugh and talk extra loud saying the worse thigs about me, they leave me to do everything, cleaning , grass everything

      I am so tired

      Dear Tired@runningsilence,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum. I’m so sorry to read how you are having to live, due to the serious abuse from your husband. He is using your immigration status to threaten you and his attempts to exhaust you are part of the abuse as well. You are an incredibly strong woman for coping.

There is support available and you do have options. Your immigration status does not prevent you from getting help or finding a safe place to live with your children, which you absolutely deserve.

You can chat to a Women’s Aid worker in confidence via our Live Chat service (open 10am-6pm every day). They won’t tell you what to do, but can discuss your situation and signpost you to other support that’s relevant for you.

For immigration and legal advice regarding your rights I strongly suggest calling The Rights of Women’s Immigration and Asylum Law Line on 0207 490 7689, see their website for opening hours. They are a busy service but it is worth persevering for free specialist legal information and advice.

I have also sent you some information by private message.

Keep Posting, I hope you find the forum a helpful place to be,

      Lisa
