We separated months ago, and I’ve tried everything in my power to enter discussions about selling the house/transfer of equity but he refuses to sell and refuses to discuss it. He indicated he wants (removed by moderator) but will not make any offers or progress past this.

I ended up going to solicitors, but again he is delaying, every deadline I set, every letter he gets sent goes past with generic excuses last minute like he needs more time etc. It’s costing me a fortune and I know I can’t afford to keep doing this (I don’t meet the legal aid threshold).

He has now got over (removed by moderator), and has rang up (removed by moderator), he is purposefully trying to bring the value down. He had valuations done when I was at work, and left the house in a real mess.

Along side this, he continues to play mind games with me, he comes in when i am working and interrupts for no reason, he demands things, he plays his music full blast whenever I’m around, he’s doing so many small things that are designed to make me feel crazy, to wear me down and push me out with nothing. i dont know how I can do anything more to stop this

      Hi WhiskyRose,

I’m sorry your are having to struggle with all this at the moment regarding the property. Understandably you are beyond frustrated as you ex-partner continues and intensifies his abuse in the home.
If you have nowhere else to go while the sale of the property gets sorted, you may want to talk through the option of going into a refuge with your local domestic abuse service. Explain any other concerns and help you feel you need with a worker as well.
If you are in need of free legal advice, you could contact Rights of Women. They are a voluntary organisation that offer free confidential legal advice over the phone. The Family law advice line offers advice on DV & abuse, divorce and civil partnership dissolution, relationship breakdown, issues relating to children. The Criminal law advice line offers advice on sexual offences, DV and harassment, police and criminal justice system, rights of victims, witnesses and defendants and criminal injuries compensation.
      I hope this is helpful.
      All the best,

      Lisa
