Husband is a master of the subtle put down. I’m tired of it.

      Just needed to vent.

Just an idea but have you kept a record of these?
It might make you feel better – more in control at least? X

Definitely keep a record as tryingtosleep says it helps remind yourself that it’s a pattern and not you that’s the problem.

      But yes definitely relate xx

I used to keep a record on my phone of his behaviour but my phone is synced to our iPad and I got worried he would see it and so I deleted it.
I really regret it as it’s harder to remember all the bad stuff when you are in the calm part of the abuse cycle.

Agree with you, he uses all my tech but I don’t know the password to his phone and wouldn’t feel comfortable snooping anyway. But for that reason, no privacy, that’s why I post on here, it’s not just support from you lovely ladies but being able to read posts going back and remembering why I’m here really helps.

The put downs make me not happy about myself.

Subtle ones are the worst because they swirl around your brain and you over analyse them. Try a passive aggressive comment back to him sometime 😉

All this stuff that goes on can make us feel rubbish.
