I have recently realised that my husband that fitted a tracking device in my car. I noticed something which I hadn’t seen before, a small black box down ner my foot well which had several little lights on. I couldn’t remember seeing it before. I asked my husband what it was (detail removed by moderator) Anyway, something got the better of me a few days later and I looked in his drawer and found a box with ‘tracking device’ written on. It suddenly all clicked. He’s been paranoid for a while now, quizzing my movements etc. I just can’t bring my self to question him about it! He’s a big drinker, and becomes verbally abusive after a drink. What on earth should I do??

      Hi Moonchild24,

Thank you for your post. I’m sorry to hear about your situation. That must have been really frightening and it sounds like he is very controlling. I would not suggest questioning him about this- abusive men can escalate when they feel like they are losing control- you are not dealing with someone who is reasonable- it is not acceptable for him to track you and monitor you in this way.

I would encourage you to contact your local domestic abuse service for ongoing support with whatever you decide to do next.

The Rights of Women have more information and guidance on Coercive Control and how you can get help with this if you are experiencing this type of abuse.

      Best Wishes

      Lisa
