I never had Valentine’s Day presents or celebrations in my entire life. This is how bad all my relationships were.
I never paid attention to it, I felt it was not for me.
This year is the first year in my life that I pay attention to Valentine’s Day.
I bought chocolate for myself and I will buy flowers for myself.
I will spoil myself on Valentine’s Day.
It will be a beautiful day, from myself to myself. -

Yay, Ayanna, I will follow your example.
I never got any nice gifts for Valentine’s Day either.
Either I received nothing, or on the scarce occasion that he did but anything, I received a gift that was very obviously damaged and that had been reduced in price (seriously).
This year, I will spoil myself. I will have a bath and use the lovely bath bomb that my son bought me for Christmas; I will buy something wonderful to eat and pamper myself in a way that he never did.

I love such posts. It makes me feel positive being single. I never got a present on Valentines day although I have never been bothered about it. But I could count on my one hand’s fingers how many gifts I received through entire relationship.
And despite the low moments when I miss him, ending this relationship is the best gift I had given to myself. So I will toast champagne to mysef on Valentine’s day. To this still young and beautiful (i will have to put a smile on to look beautiful) woman who deserves a happy life. One step at a time I will walk towards being happy. ๐ -

Ladies why just on Valentine’s day? We dont need a commercialised day to spoil ourselves – we should use every opportunity to feel good and to celebrate being “us”
Whatever you do on 14/2, and whether you’re still with your abuser or not, do it with style and conviction! -

My ex made a big deal out of
treating
me on Valentines, it was all for show so everyone thought he was amazing.
This Valentines Day I will be spending it with my granddaughters having a sleepover, we are havingpink
food, fizzy pop and lots of chocolates. This would not happening if I had not left, and is worth more to me than any flowers or jewellery, and I simply carnt wait x*x
