Now that he wants to fight the divorce he’s finally stopped drinking, (at least for now). Now he wants to see the children. I stay at the beginning of each visit just to check he’s ok and that they are ok. Then I leave for a bit. I dread each meeting. I wish he didn’t have to come. It’s exhausting. I cant bear it – but I have to do it. Does anyone else have any tips?

      Hi tryingtosleep,

Thank you for sharing with us. It is understandable you find this exhausting. You might want to explore your options and rights with the Coram Children’s Legal Centre. They provide free legal resources with advice and information on all aspects of family, child and education law, including relationship breakdown. They can be contacted on 0300 330 5480 and also have a web chat- here.

      Best wishes,

      Lisa
