I really have had enough…..why are they allowed to continue to abuse us even when we have left, he has abused me and my family and he is now starting on the children what can I do why will no one help me

Play the long game. Keep reinforcing it’s his behaviour that is wrong. No one else is to blame here. Keep contact to zero or through a third part. Keep moving forwards. Eventually his house of cards will come tumbling down x

he will not leave until he got the reactions he needs from. Until he can get you.
Try some books how to avoid emotional reactions on his demands.
You cannot change him or situation, but you can build a high wall which will protect you.
You can also teach your kids how to answer or what to answer.
There are some certain strategies what to answer to such a people so they get nothing from you.
