Thank you, Minimeerkat! I appreciate the advice and the encouragement. I’ve got a female solicitor but I don’t feel she understands me or is on my side. He is still making contact and attempting to explain why he can’t give me anything financially (which is a nonsense). I find myself weakening…if he were to turn around and apologise and say he would make it all okay I’m now not so sure I would refuse. Only, he won’t, as he is unable to apologise. I would have to do that for him and then it would be ‘okay’. Am not going there again, no matter how much I miss the good parts of him. Hard, when facing becoming homeless and struggling to build reputation and business again.

      Hello HereforHelp,

Thank you for responding to my post! This resonates and it helps to know that I’m not the only one. It came as a huge shock and in the single face to face discussion we had thereafter in a neutral public space he apologised (the first and only time he had EVER apologised in (detail removed by Moderator) years for anything) for ‘betraying me’ but he said he needed to apologise for the sake of his mental health (by which I presume he meant his conscience). More recently, he has suggested I return to the house and the business to look after it for (detail removed by Moderator). Odd, given he had me forcibly removed.

I do hope things are better for you now and that feel strong. xx
