I’ve told 3 of my closest friends about everything as it meant if they knew they would keep me grounded and make sure I don’t falter when I’m feeling really weak and take him back. Fortunately for my ex husband none of his family or friends have a clue what’s going on because for some reason I am protecting him! I think my main reason is that I couldn’t break his parents hearts and don’t actually think they would believe it anyway. I would then look bitter and twisted. I also don’t tell anyone else out of fear that he may come after my me in the future.

And being on here should really help. I just joined this site and today is the first day in a really long time that I haven’t needed to fight back the tears and have that heavy dread and panic of spending life on my own. I actually want to today! I know this may change maybe next week and it may be hard again but like all the other comments take your time, one foot in front of the other and treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping. This is a trauma and traumas take time to get over

How could you NOT get upset by that Had.enough! And why on earth would a remotely decent person say such a thing? I had a lot of that myself. Everyone thinks you’re a tart and everyone hates your children. I just couldn’t believe an intelligent man (or seemingly so) could think that’s ok to say! They basically like to project their insecurities onto you. None of us ladies on here will ever understand it totally because we couldn’t be further from that kind of person.
