Thanks, guys! The police told me they were looking to charge him and told me that with the 6 months! I’ve still got all my photos, emails to the police chasing etc. I’ve not deleted a thing. Women’s Aid have given me the Centre for Women’s Justice’s details and I’ve got someone ringing me tomorrow. I just don’t want something like this happening to anyone else. It’s so annoying that he would have been charged otherwise. To think that the report basically called me a liar as well is the worst thing!

      @Kip
I will defo private message later. Thank you so much everyone! 🙂

Ooo that’s a good idea! I might contact my local one. Absolutely no idea, they just said it was “policy”. He can’t be charged now either. So bad considering he works in (detail removed by moderator)– he shouldn’t be around people.

      Hi Landy,

I’ve heard that the longer they have your case, the better it is. Just hang on in there. Here if you need.

      Xx

      Hi Kip!

Tenacious. I love that word!! Thank you. I’m appealing again and then I’ll keep going until someone listens and takes note.

      Xx

      Hi Landy,

It took me about a month or two to get a decision from the CPS. If you’re not happy with the decision then you can appeal under the Victims Right to Review scheme. If you google or go onto your region’s police page, they should have an email address on who to get in touch with.

I’ve told them that I’m not happy and the email I sent has been attached to the case. I’m going to be appealing again but this time it’s going to be an independent review. (Detail removed by moderator).

I’m not being called a liar and I’m not taking this lying down. No way!

Just keep pushing the police to see if they can hurry the CPS along. The wait is the hardest bit. Keep your chin up and let us know what happens. Xx

Thank you both of you. I really appreciate it. I just can’t believe some of the things that were said in the report. (Detail removed by moderator). Some other things as well. I’m going to get it reviewed again and I’m also most definitely putting a complaint in. I was dealing with two police stations in different regions and some things just aren’t adding up.

Thank you so much for replying. I don’t feel so alone anymore. 🙂

Thanks, ladies for your messages. Much appreciated. I’m still feeling a bit rubbish but plodding on. I’ve used the Victims Right to Review scheme so they’re reviewing the decision and letting me know. It’s not going to change anything but I need to know exactly why. He told them it was self defence and the police said that he informed them he had photos of his “injuries” and when they took his phone they didn’t find any photos at all. They had all my photos. I don’t understand why people can just say it’s self defence and then he gets away with it because of it. I was covered in blood and he made me wait until he washed clothing to leave the place he did it etc. I just don’t understand. It’s been going on for (Detail removed by Moderator) months (Detail removed by Moderator)

Sorry you’ve all been in the same position as me. It’s not a nice feeling at all. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Thank you. 🙂 The police officer that was dealing with it sounded just as shocked as I am. He was really apologetic. He said that he was letting his work know ASAP and that they will be told that even though there wasn’t enough evidence to say it wasn’t self defence, that it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I’m just so angry and upset. There was no evidence of me harming him but they had photos of my injuries. He wasn’t charged just released under investigation.

I’m sorry about your ex. You’re right, it is a good thing about not having to go to court and I don’t have to see him.

Ah, thank you so much for your advice Kip! I didn’t think about the voters roll either so thank you for thinking of that. I’ll ring them tomorrow 🙂 x

I hope so too! The police haven’t been that great so I’ve been walking on eggshells for months. Yeah he’s been told to stay away from me and I’ve also relocated so he doesn’t know where I live!

Thank you so much, fingers crossed!

      X

Thank you so much Chickadee. I really appreciate it. I’m just so angry and confused at the moment. He’s a (job removed by moderator) so he’s making out that I’m making it up so he loses his job. *rolls eyes*

It was beating. Strangling, punching, everything. His self defence marks were from me pushing his face away when he was strangling me. But I really think he did those himself to be honest as I cant mark when I’m using my palms.

Anyway, I suppose I just need to have a little faith in the police that they can work him out. You’re definitely right – (detail removed by moderator) and I really think he’s done this sort of thing before. He even made me wait with him until he put an item of clothing covered in blood in the washing machine and finished. All very bizarre!

I’m moving to the middle of nowhere next month! Can’t come quick enough.

Thank you so much again 🙂 xx
